There are so many masks on the market, but nothing like the Aronia Clay Mask. This Clay Mask is the first mask made from the Aronia Berry, also known as the Chokeberry. This super berry contains the highest amount of polyphenolic antioxidants from all berries. 

Antioxidant levels in fresh fruit can be measured by a test called ORAC (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity). Scientists have found that antioxidants increase our bodies natural defence systems. The higher the ORAC, the higher the antioxidant activity. (Wu, Beecher et al. 2004)

What makes the Aronia Clay Mask unique compared to other Clay Masks? 

The Aronia Clay Mask is formulated with our hero ingredient, the Aronia Berry, a blend of Alpha Hydroxy Acids and a mixture of three clays. Compared to other clay masks that don’t contain active acids and hydrating ingredients, the Aronia Clay Mask exfoliates and balances the skin without aggravating it, leaving it dry and tight behind. 

What is inside the Aronia Clay Mask?

The Aronia Clay Mask contains a special and unique blend of fruit acids, also known as AHA’s (Alpha Hydroxy Acids). AHA’s are chemical exfoliants that exfoliate the top layers of the skin to minimise dullness and even out texture. The AHA’s in the Aronia Clay Mask are Lactic, Glycolic, Citric, Malic and Tartaric. Glycolic, Lactic, and Malic acid attract water to the skin, making it a good choice for dry skin. They also increase collagen production. While citric acid stands for its antioxidants properties fighting free radical damage.

Clay’s are known for their cleansing and purifying properties. The Aronia Clay Mask includes Bentonite Clay, Kaolin Clay known as white Clay and Red Clay. 

Bentonite is mineral-rich Clay that contains calcium, magnesium and iron. Bentonite helps to un-gunk the skin from oils, dirt and impurities. It clears clogged pores, removes dead skin cells and balances oil production. 

Kaolin Clay prevents breakouts before they even begin. It helps restore skin damaged by acne outbreaks, and Kaolin helps make the skin more toned and tightened. Kaolin Clay is a very gentle clay soothing sensitive skin. 

Red Clay is ultra-rich in iron, making it the perfect Clay for ageing and damaged skin. Red Clay improves skin elasticity and firmness. 

The Aronia Clay Mask also contains a high amount of Black Willow Bark Extract. Black Willow Bark Extract contains salicin from which Salicylic Acid is derived. Salicin is highly anti-inflammatory, and it removes dead skin cells and clears pores to reveal a more radiant complexion. Salicin works deeply within the skin, and it’s recommended for oiler skin types.

Last but not least, the Aronia Clay Mask includes the powder and the seed oil from the Aronia Berry, also known as the Chokeberry. Combining both compounds has enabled us to increase the effectiveness of this powerful superfood within our formula. The Aronia Berry provides antioxidant properties, nourishes, heals and soothes the skin with vital vitamins, minerals and fatty acids. The high content of ellagic acid in the Aronia Berry reduces dark spots and hyperpigmentation.
